Valorisation is an important goal of the project and integrated in the project as such. Concrete output of the FLEET-research aims specifically *to inform, stimulate and support potential economic, policy and societal actors*, which have a direct interest in the field. *A public website* will be set up giving details on activities organised by the consortium and providing access to specific tools such as articles and research-outcomes.

Preliminary talks with Flanders Media Valley have indicated that there is an interest on the side of Flemish publishers to set up *a Task Force on e-publishing*. FLEET will support the development and can play — in co-operation with Medianet Vlaanderen and Flemish Media Valley — a stimulating role in supporting this Task Force both in terms of scientific research as in terms of an independent secretariat.

Secondly, *an Advisory Committee of Users* (ACU) is formed at the start of the project, which consists of Flemish industrial actors and consumer groups. Within the Advisory Committee of Users a valorisation roadmap — indicating its own channels of valorisation — will be set up. The Advisory Committee of Users will also function as *a sounding board for interim research results* and their societal and sectorial relevance.

Each work package foresees the organisation of *external workshops* both geared at the scientific community as to the Flemish industry, consumer-organisations, professional interest groups and decision-making bodies. In *high-level seminars* (ongoing) results are presented and discussed. Specific attention is paid to how research results can contribute to the development of the e-publishing sector in Flanders. Some work packages will organise topic-related business-seminar (at company-level).

Subsequently, the consortium aims to develop several overview databases in relation to the problems of e-publishing. This *e-Publishing Knowledge Database* provides the e-journalist, the e-publisher and the e-user with a handy and up-to-date overview of key issues and status questionis of e-publishing in both Flanders and beyond.

Because the topic of e-publishing is absent in most courses on information society topics and on curricula concerning media, journalism and law, the university partners cooperate to establish *an e-journalism course* for the professional journalist. The course will be developed in close co-operation with the Advisory Committee of Users.

The consortium mainly exists of junior researchers. These junior researchers will develop a *PhD* in their specific field of research. The objective is to publish these PhD’s at the end of the project. On a valorisation level this is very important. Not only are they building an expertise, each on a certain domain of e-publishing, but they also disseminate this knowledge through articles, presentations on workshops and finally their PhD.

Finally, FLEET has a goal towards governmental policy as well towards that of the sector. Each work package, from its own point of view, will have several *policy recommendations*. These recommendations will be fitted in to a regional (Flemish), a national (Federal) and in an International (primarily European) level. Hereby will be attempted to emphasise the several FLEET policy aspects from a legal, economic and social point of view, considering an evidence-based policy-approach. Within the various research domains, prospective scenarios on e-publishing are developed. These policy recommendations will happen within several valorisation trajectories such as publications and workshops.
