Valerie-Anne Bleyen (MOFI-ECON)

Valérie-Anne Bleyen graduated in July 2005 at the Universiteit Hasselt and holds a Master Commercial Engineer with a specialization in Operations Management and Logistics/Policy Management. She joined the Money and Finance Research Group (MOFI) within ECON at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in March 2006 and is working as a researcher on the FLEET-project. Within this project she will first investigate the determinants of the price setting of content and in particular the choice between the subscription and pay-per-view model. Secondly, she will make a roundup and classification of the existing online payment systems in Flanders and elsewhere. In cooperation with Leo Van Hove, Bleyen will determine which payment systems are best suited for the business and pricing models that are selected in other parts of the project. Moreover a database will be designed with an inventory and classification of relevant payment systems. Her research will result in a PhD.
